This Saturday saw the first day of competition at the fourth round of the season, held in Neunkirchen (Germany). Toni Bou earned the win, whilst Gabriel Marcelli had a difficult day and fell just short of the podium.
Bou showed his dominance from the first lap. The Repsol Honda Team rider took the lead after completing the zones with only 7 penalty points. It was a tough first day in Germany for Gabriel Marcelli. The Repsol Honda rider began the first lap with three consecutive failures that took him away from the podium positions in a close race. After the first lap he was in sixth position, just 7 points away from the podium spots. For Lap 2, he was able to improve in all areas, but it was not enough to get onto the rostrum and he finished in fourth position. Marcelli maintains second place in the overall standings, with 103 points.
On Sunday, the Repsol Honda Team riders will begin the second round in Germany at 9am local time.
