At the same time, he managed to maintain his high level and commitment to the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup, where he did not let a single race slip through his fingers and was crowned champion in Mandalika. As a result, Honda Team Asia offered him the chance to compete in the 2022 Moto3 World Championship, with a best finish of 14th at the Japanese GP. The second season proved much more successful, with Taiyo Furusato accumulating 63 points, including a second-place finish in Thailand. He then began 2024 in style, scoring a podium at the Qatar GP, starting 2024 strong in a year which saw the #72 consistently fight at the front, claiming a further two podiums as the season progressed.

Furusato will be aiming to make another step forward in 2025 as he continues with Honda Team Asia.
