Furusato Secures 7th Position at Phillip Island

Taiyo Furusato delivered a commendable performance, staying competitive within a large group of riders fighting for podium. Despite coming close to a podium finish, Furusato ultimately crossed the line in 7th place. Meanwhile, Thai rookie Tatchakorn Buasri made progress, battling to enter the points zone and demonstrating improvement compared to his recent races, finishing inside the top 20.

We witnessed an incredibly thrilling 21-lap race with numerous overtakes and constant position changes, keeping the excitement alive until the very end. Taiyo Furusato was in the fight for the podium, which was thrilling to see. However, in the final laps, he lost some positions and, despite his efforts to recover, it wasn’t quite enough to reach the podium. He had the speed and potential for a better result, but we fell short in the final laps. This is an area we will focus on improving.
Tatchakorn Buasri struggled with the windy conditions, and the gap between his best lap time and his average lap time was significant. He needs to be more consistent to stay in the group fighting for points. The next race will be his home Grand Prix, so we are hopeful both riders will perform well, and we look forward to a strong performance in Thailand.

Today, I did everything I could, but there were some factors beyond my control in the race. I tried to stay calm, but in these group battles, it's tough when things are out of your hands. I pushed to the maximum, but in races with such a large group of riders, you need to stay calm and manage the pressure. A small mistake can cost you everything.
I’m happy with some aspects, like how the bike performed and how close we were to the top at certain moments. However, I’m also frustrated because I know our potential, and I'm aware we could have done even better here. I'm highly motivated for the next race in Thailand, and I will give my best to achieve a strong result in Buriram.

This race was particularly difficult for me, as the windy conditions made it difficult to perform at my best. It was a tough weekend, but I won’t make excuses. I’ll work hard with my team to fix my weaknesses and improve in all the aspects. The next race is my home Grand Prix, and I’m highly motivated to deliver a strong performance in front of our fans. I recognize my mistakes and apologize to the team for them, as their hard work deserves better. I’ll give everything I have to ensure a good race in Thailand.
