Furusato to Start from Ninth Position at Misano

Taiyo Furusato displayed a good performance, being one of the fastest riders in Q1 and securing a top 10 position during Q2. The Japanese rider will start from the third row of the grid in tomorrow's race. Meanwhile, Thai rookie Tatchakorn Buasri faced a challenging day and will begin the race from 26th on the grid.

We have just completed the Moto3 qualifying day here in Misano. The hot track conditions, combined with high air temperatures, made it quite demanding for the riders. Tatchakorn Buasri improved his lap time, but it wasn’t enough to secure a spot in Q2.
On the other hand, Taiyo Furusato demonstrated a better pace than yesterday. He improved his lap time in Q1, advancing to Q2, where he maintained his strong momentum, ultimately finishing in 9th position. Starting from the third row is not a bad result, but there is still room for improvement ahead of tomorrow’s race. We are hopeful that both riders can perform even better and deliver a strong race in Misano.

Today went well. Compared to previous sessions, where I struggled to deliver a proper time attack, I managed a consistent lap time today, giving us a solid race pace. Our focus was on setting a good single lap, and we achieved that, so I am satisfied with the progress.
I’m pleased to be starting from one of the front rows in 9th position. This is a good opportunity to aim for a strong result. My primary goal for tomorrow is to reach the podium, and I will do my best to achieve that.

This morning was challenging for me. I woke up feeling unwell, which made me feel weak and affected my performance. During Practice 2, I tried to improve my riding style, but a lack of confidence prevented me from improving my lap time.
In the afternoon’s Qualifying session, I had a bit more confidence, but encountered technical issues during the first few minutes of Q1. This left me with only around five minutes to set my best lap time. Although I pushed as hard as I could, I couldn’t achieve the result I wanted due to traffic on the track, which disrupted my pace. On the positive side, the bike feels good, so if we can get a strong start in tomorrow's race, I’m confident we can fight for points.
