Furusato and Buasri's mission in Portugal gets complicated

Both the Japanese rider, who achieved a magnificient podium finish in the last Grand Prix, and the Thai rookie are facing challenges in finding their pace at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve. They are set to start from 21st and 23rd on the grid respectively. Hopefully, they can make a strong start and contend for points in tomorrow's race.

After the qualifying session, it's clear that our riders had a tough day. They did get better, but still couldn't catch up with the others. The track was rough yesterday because of sand and dust, making it hard to grip. Today, things improved, and Furusato said some positive things about the feeling with the bike. Tatchakorn has been working on his riding style and is getting better, so bit by bit we’re seeing some positive things.

Today didn't go perfectly for us in terms of grid position, but we think we have a good path for tomorrow’s race. Now, we need to review our data and aim to improve during the race. Starting from 21st and 23rd on the grid isn't ideal, so our main focus will be on getting a strong start and making the right tire choice for the race.

Firstly, I want to express my gratitude to the team for their hard work. I'm pleased with the significant changes in the bike's feel compared to yesterday. While I do acknowledge some improvements, I must admit that I still feel uneasy on this track. In my three years of riding here, I've never truly felt comfortable.

We saw some improvement from yesterday's practice session, and we were in contention to enter Q2. Even today's result wasn't what we hoped for, I'm still feeling confident. We're determined to give our all and fight until the end. Hopefully, we can replicate the performance we had in Qatar.

Today, we made some improvement, but we're still searching for the right bike setup. Gradually, we're making progress, and I'm feeling increasingly comfortable and faster on the bike. There's a noticeable improvement from yesterday, and I'm optimistic that tomorrow we'll take another step in the right direction.

The team's dedication and support are commendable, instilling confidence in me for tomorrow's race. I'm determined to deliver my best, aiming for a strong start and to be competitive in the points battle. That would be a significant achievement for us.
