Resilience exercise during the Emilia Romagna GP Race

Somkiat Chantra, starting from 18th on the grid, adapted well to challenging race conditions, ultimately securing 14th place and earning 2 points for the team. Meanwhile, Mario Aji demonstrated progress, improving his lap time compared to the last race in Misano. Despite a determined effort to break into the points, he finished 21st in the Emilia Romagna GP.

We have just completed the 14th race of the Moto2 World Championship, and it was certainly a challenging one. Somkiat Chantra started 18th, while Mario Aji began in 26th. Both riders battled through the field, showing gradual improvement throughout the race. Their pace was noticeably faster than the previous week here in Misano.
While the gains were incremental, Chantra struggled with significant front-end chattering, which hampered his performance. Aji, however, showed considerable progress, improving by over two seconds compared to last week, and finished 21st.
Though the final positions may not be ideal, we have made progress. We aim to maintain this upward trajectory and look forward to the next round in Indonesia, where we hope for a different scenario. I would like to thank the team and our sponsors for their continued support as we move ahead.

We’ve just finished the race here in Misano. I started from 18th and finished 14th. Early on, I felt confident and tried to stay with the group, but as I pushed harder, I encountered severe front-end chattering, which made it difficult to maintain the pace I wanted.
Unfortunately, a mistake caused me to lose gap with the riders ahead. Given the circumstances, I focused on staying calm and managing the situation as best as I could. In the end, we earned 2 points. I hope to perform better and stronger at the next race.

This race went much better than last week, though there is still room for improvement. Our race pace and overall performance showed noticeable gains, and my feeling with the bike was significantly better. However, there are aspects of my riding style that still need adjustment.
After discussing with the team, we concluded that while the bike had no major issues, I need to optimize my performance further. Although it was a tough race, we gathered valuable information regarding the setup and feedback, which will be beneficial moving forward.
I’m eager to compete in Mandalika, my home Grand Prix, and will give my absolute best to achieve the best possible result.
