Productive Saturday in the Red Bull ring for Chantra and Aji

Thai rider Somkiat Chantra, who showed promising form during Friday's practice sessions and the final practice today, secured 8th position in Qualifying. Meanwhile, Indonesian rookie Mario Aji missed out on Q2 and finished the day in 24th place on the grid for tomorrow's race.

We have concluded the Moto2 Qualifying day. It was a dry session, and Somkiat Chantra delivered his best lap time, but unfortunately, a red flag interrupted his run. Despite this, he came back strong and nearly improved his lap time. The gap between the top 3 riders and Somkiat is very close, so we just missed out slightly, but his pace is promising for tomorrow. We have a good chance to be in the battle for strong results, as the times are very tight.
Mario Aji had a solid performance in the morning, riding well, but he struggled with managing speed during the qualifying session. He will start in 24th position. Today wasn’t fantastic, but it wasn’t terrible either. I believe there is room for improvement, and I hope both riders can improve their positions in tomorrow’s race.

Today, we had the final practice session and Qualifying for the Austrian GP. We significantly improved our lap time during practice. However, the conditions during qualifying were different, with the asphalt being very hot, which made it challenging to adapt to the new tires initially.
We were a bit unlucky when a red flag interrupted our attempt at a best lap. Despite this, we gave it our all and will start from 8th position tomorrow. I promise to give my best effort for a strong result in the race.

Today, I faced some challenges with the front end of the bike, and I think we lacked a bit of speed. It was a difficult day for me as we couldn’t improve the lap time. However, after reviewing the data, we identified areas where we can gain speed and improve during the race. We will likely make some adjustments to the bike setup, and we’ll see what I can achieve tomorrow. In previous races, I’ve shown good pace, so although tomorrow will be tough, I’ll keep fighting until the end. My goal is to complete the race and gain more experience with the bike. I remain confident for tomorrow.
