Thai rider Somkiat Chantra had a promising start to the day, finishing 5th in the last practice session and advancing directly to Q2 with hopes of securing a favorable starting grid position. However, during the qualifying session, just as he set his best lap and moved into 7th position, it was invalidated due to a yellow flag on the track. Consequently, Chantra will start tomorrow's race from the 13th position. Despite this setback, Chantra maintains a strong pace and appears mentally prepared. Let's remain optimistic that he will deliver a strong race on French soil tomorrow.

We worked hard for this qualifying session. I think Chantra had quite a good feeling this morning during the practice session and he was quite confident in the qualifying. But we had a little bit of bad luck during his best lap, he achieved a good 7th position confirming a promising path, but was cancelled because of a yellow flag. So finally he would start tomorrow’s race from 13th position on the grid, we all have the feeling that we could have been much more in front. That’s a little bit dissapointing from one side, but from another we know our strengh and we know that Chantra can be up with the leading group. Now it’s time to change our mind and think in tomorrow’s race, we hope that we have a good race start and from there try to gain as much positions as we can.

IDEMITSU Honda Team Asia Today we had the last session of practice and qualifying at Le Mans. We improved the lap time, we did very good on the morning achieving a good 5th position, we were confident for the qualifying session. When I was in time attack trying my best lap I achieved a good time, but was cancelled because a yellow flag. It’s truly disappointing as I didn’t see any flag and when they told me that lap was cancelled I really didn’t know what happened. Well we have a strong path, that’s the most important now, I will try my best for tomorrow have a good start and take a good result from Le Mans.
