Not enough improvement from Ogura and Chantra on a tough day in Mugello

The clear progress the Idemitsu Honda Team Asia riders showed was insufficient to get a good grid position for tomorrow's race. But, as the gaps between the riders are minimal, all options are open in what promises to be a very competitive race.

We had a tough day today, with both riders struggling in the qualifying session. They have improved their lap time, but not enough; many others improved more than us. The grid position, P14 and P17, aren't what we expected. The differences are tiny, but this is what we have. They should make a good start on the race, trying to get a better position. In the race, everything could happen!

We've been struggling all weekend. We miss these 4 - 5 tenths to the front in all the sessions. I can ride my maximum for 20 laps, but it is only meaningful if the lap time is there. We're on the way to finding the problem on the track. The grid position is far back. We will see what happens at the start. Honestly, this year I can't see myself on the podium. Last two years, I finished in good positions, but because a few crashes in the front. The performance wasn't there, like this year. This year other riders are more competitive. My target for tomorrow is Top 6

In FP3, we did good practice, improving my lap time by more than one second compared to the last year. If in FP3 I got my time following Aldeguer(Lightech Speed Up), in Q2, I tried to do it alone. I'm confident because we have a good setup for the race
