Tatchakorn Buasri wins first FIM JuniorGP race of the season in Estoril

Tatchakorn Buasri took victory in the first race of the FIM JuniorGP season, held at the Autodromo do Estoril, Portugal. Starting from third on the grid, the rider from the Asia Talent Team maintained a great pace to claim the win. His teammate, Fadillah Arbi Aditama, managed to move up seven places on his series debut.
After a great qualifying session on Saturday, Buasri was consistently fast amidst the intense heat at the Portuguese track. Forming part of the front group throughout the race, the Thai rider led for several laps. Finally, despite crossing the finish line second, one tenth behind the rider ahead of him, the Asia Talent Team rider was proclaimed the winner due to a penalty.
Fadillah Arbi Aditama enjoyed a solid debut in the JuniorGP class. Starting from 24th, he managed to rise to 17th place, close to the points. After a mistake on the first lap upset his race, he kept up a good pace that allowed him to gain confidence on a new bike at an unfamiliar circuit.
With this first victory, Buasri heads the JuniorGP standings with 25 points. The next round of the FIM JuniorGP will be held in two weeks at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, in Valencia, where the class will contest two races.
