A pair of Japanese podiums for Nakarin

Race 2 day at Motegi was cloudy but with sunshine. During the warm up session it seemed like Zaqhwan found his balance on the bike. Andi and Nakarin just checked their feeling on the track. Race 2 started with all three riders keeping their starting position and fighting there throughout the race. In the last three laps Nakarin pushed hard to pass to finish third and take a second podium of his weekend. Zaqhwan and Andi concluded with P5 and P6. The team finished the race without any accidents today. The next round is 26-28 July at Mandalika Circuit, Indonesia.

Nakarin Atiratphuvapat #41 / Race 2 – P3

"Today my body was not fit because of the accident yesterday. In the race, I lost my position from first laps and it was hard to overtake as my tyres gave not enough grip because the temperature was too low. I waited until half of race and my feeling was good. I try to push more fast and finally I finish on the podium. It was good experience here in Motegi that makes me more motivated to fight for the championship."

Zaqhwan Zaidi #21 / Race 2 – P5

"Today in Race 2, I feel much happier with the bike, and the feeling was improving but in the beginning of race I had difficulty with the rear grip. After five laps I was coming to catch the top group and I was able to get a podium place. Unfortunately, there were not enough laps and I finished P5. Overall, the bike felt much better than yesterday, only my condition is still not 100% so I will be back to fight again in Mandalika. That time I think I will recovery 100% and I want to win next race. Thanks for all the support."

Andi Farid Izdihar #23 / Race 2 – P6

"This Motegi round was not my day. I was struggling all the weekend here. I crashed in Race 1 and had a difficult Race 2, but the championship becomes more interesting. I just want to move forward and focus for the next race and give my best!"

Makoto Tamada - HADR Team Manager

"This weekend's Motegi round was a tough race for riders. I think it's great that Nakarin made onto the podium in both races. Andi and Zaqhawan both did their best, and although we didn't get a good result this time, they will come back stronger for the next race. I believe we can achieve good races and good results at the Suzuka 8H this year. Thank you so much to our sponsors for their support."
