Gabriel Rodrigo got his start in 2010 when he participated in the Mediterranean Championship (Campeonato Mediterráneo de Velocidad) in the 80cc category. He quickly moved up to the PreGP 125cc category, where he then stayed for an additional season.

In 2012 he faced his first season in the Spanish Moto3™ Championship and in 2013 he achieved his first podium. For 2014, he joined Aleix Espargaró’s Boe41 team in the FIM CEV Repsol championship, made his first appearance in the World Championship and even rode in some of the Italian Championship (CIV) races.

For 2015 joined RBA Racing team for his debut as a full-time Moto3™ World Championship rider. He remained with the team in 2016, 2017 and 2018, during which time he took some pole positions and a first podium at the Catalan GP in 2018.

In 2019 he moved to Kommerling Gresini Moto3 - at the time the reigning Champions - but his year was plagued by injuries and none finishes meaning he failed to build on his 2018 campaign. For 2020 the Argentine returned to Gresini with a brand new number, the number two, on the front of his bike, and finished the season 13th overall.
